Juanita June Denney of Platte County passed away October 5, 2024, while under the care of Ascend Hospice. She was born October 22, 1941, near Filmore, MO to John William (Dick) and Ruby “Irene” (Corder) Brandon. She graduated in 1959 from North Andrew High School in Rosendale, MO. Juanita married her high school sweetheart, Quinten M. Denney on June 4, 1961. Together they were blessed with four children: Gail, David, Darrel and Chris.

Juanita is survived by her children: Gail Arant (Michael) of Liberty, MO; David Denney (Staci) of Liberty, MO; Chris Denney (Marilyn) of Kansas City, MO; seven Grandchildren: Jacob Arant; Lauren Garrett (Benn); Samuel Arant; Baileigh Carter (Tagen); Zeke Arant; Jordan Decker (Dalton) and Maddisen Oldham (Nicholas); four Great-Grandchildren Elliott and Holland Decker and Dane and Gemma Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Darrel Denney; a brother Claude E. Brandon; and a sister, Charlotte Brandon.

A Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Meyers Northland Chapel 401 Main St. Parkville, MO. The Funeral Service celebrating Juanita’s life will commence at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel with Pastor Brady Testorff officiating. A Committal Service will immediately follow at Platte City Cemetery in Platte City, MO.
