Time to Clock Out

Are you feeling weary, bilious, scratchy, liverish, woebegone, twitchy, grumpy and sneezy? Are your kidneys spasming? Niggly chest twinges, vertigo, lumbago… possible malaria symptoms?Before you panic and head for the nearest ER, pause for a second and think of what we have all just experience.Last weekend we had to put our clocks back one entire hour because of the inexplicably mandated “day light savings time (DST).” These are all symptoms of PTDSTSD.The exaggerated benefit of this has always been “ohhh, woo hoo, a whole extra hours’ sleep, oh happy day!”Commence a joyous gallop around the living room.For me that is a firm no, nope, non, and nada allied with an eye roll and a mumbled, “are you kidding me?”There may be some folks out there that do get a benefit. Perhaps some night owl gamer glued to a retina burning screen who habitually crawls to bed at 3 a.m.
