Savannah R3 to Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for New Performing Arts Center and Renovation Project

Savannah R-III School District is proud to announce the official ribbon cutting and grand opening of the brand new Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Savannah High School. The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 2, outside the PAC’s main entrance, with a short program beginning at 5:00 PM.This state-of-the-art facility is a major milestone for the district and marks the first time Savannah High School students will have access to a dedicated theater space.

Savage artists take the cake

The 43rd Annual Highland Art Day took place on April 17 and we are proud to say the Savage artists did more than brush it off; they crushed it.The event had 887 students from 44 different schools and 1,217 pieces of art from a variety of mediums. Students could participate in the following activities: team clay sculpture, sidewalk chalk mural, button making, wheel throwing competition, mammoth mural, self portrait drawing, pet rock shop and draw for keeps.“Highland Art Day was such a cool experience, seeing all the artwork was super amazing and seeing my classmates get a medal and ribbons along with myself was a great experience.
