ANDREW COUNTY - After a 20-8 loss to the East Atchison Wolves in the season opener Friday night, North Andrew Head Coach Dustin Williams said his team’s effort and physicality stood out — but emphasized the need for sharper execution moving forward. “We pursued the ball well on defense and played to the whistle on both sides of the ball,” Williams said.
PLEASANT HILL - The Savannah Savages got a big hand from their backup quarterback in a road win over top 10 Pleasant Hill last Friday. The Savages, 1-0, host the East Buchanan Bulldogs this week in their first home game of the season.

SAVANNAH - The Family Investment Center, a financial planning, analysis and investment firm, delivered another positive report on the growth of the Bennett Lane Cemetery Trust, which the firm manages for the Andrew County Commission. Western District Commissioner Gary Baumann and Eastern District Commissioner Fritz Hegeman heard the report delivered by Chris Stiens, an investment advisor with the Family Investment Center.
