Burnsides honored at tournament; Savages wrap up regular season

The Savannah wrestlers have once again proven their resilience and determination by securing second place over the weekend in the Albany Invitational - James Booher Memorial Wrestling Tournament.Despite not entering a full team due to match counts, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship.A standout performance came from senior wrestler Cooper Burnsides, who pinned all four of his opponents with remarkable skill. His outstanding efforts earned him first place in the 215lb weight division.

Suspect caught on camera

Improved security precautions including the installation of some cameras proved successful in identifying a suspect and his actions.The Savannah Police Department identified Drevin Matthew Boswell, 21, Savannah, from courthouse square videos.Monica Morrey, the Andrew County prosecutor, filed a criminal complaint charging Boswell with felony stealing of a 5.7, 28 mm. Caliber Smith and Wesson handgun.

Dungeons and Dragons rising at SHS

The Dungeons and Dragons Club started in October 2024 and was founded by junior, Sylas Ragsdale.Since then, the club has seen growth in members and they said they have had a blast. The club is welcoming to everyone, especially people who are into fantasy and eager to try something new.“You are at the mercy of a few dice,” sophomore member, Monroe Brushwood said.The game has no bounds; you can be whatever you want from a warlock, a wizard, and even a miniature cat.
