In between the regular legislative session and the upcoming special session, Ninth District Representative Dean Van Schoiack made another of his many visits to the Andrew County Commission. East District Commissioner Fritz Hegeman and West District Commissioner Gary Baumann were just finishing their Monday meeting with Jim Galbraith, the County Road and Bridge supervisor.

Andrew County Officials Agree on Need to Keep Dispatch Local

All three Andrew County commissioners met once again with representatives from fire departments, the ambulance district and other law enforcement agencies about the growing cost of dispatch services and who pays for them. It was still a consensus of the entire group that none of the agencies using Andrew County's dispatch services wants to see dispatch moved out of the county to the city of Cameron in Clinton County.
