Swim team leaves state ready for next year

The Savannah High School swim team proved that despite modest team-size of 11 swimmers, that they were not to be underestimated.Coach Tammy Kime took six girls to state over the course of last weekend."Which was pretty amazing because their are teams with 15 or 20 girls who qualified for state," said Kime.Savage swimmers went to St. Peter's with three relays and three individual events which Kime called a massive success for their season. While Savannah swim's small size puts them at a disadvantage, especially without a steady practice pool and sometimes late practices of varying length, what Kime calls "gusto" kept the team's competing spirit alive."We've driven all over to get to practices," said Kime.
