Propane Tank Prompts Learning Center Evacuaton
A 911 call from the Savannah R-III Learning Center resulted in a fast response from the Savannah Fire Department and the Savannah Police Department, which safely and orderly evacuated students and staff from the Learning Center building. There was a report of a strong gas smell at the Learning Center around 12:37 p.m.

Man sentenced to probation for child porn possession
Last week, Circuit Judge Dan Kellogg announced to a full courtroom he was going to do something he had never done before: sentencing an admitted child pornographer to probation. Judge Denies Bond Request for Accused Sex Trafficker
A Savannah resident charged with the felony of sexual trafficking with a minor recently failed in his attempt to be released from jail on bond. Ross Rutherford, 32, has no prior criminal record and at the time of his arrest back in late January, was employed and living at home, argued his attorney, Mark Wissehr, during a May 12 bond hearing.
