As “Kathy Roach”, the RSVP acting director stated in her letter to the editor last week, I too was shocked and embarrassed by the article in the Reporter about RSVP, “Sept. 19.” As past administrator, for 35 years, of the Andrew County Senior Center, I have seen 1st hand the good that RSVP does.
Can you begin to imagine the shock and embarrassment when I opened the Savannah Reporter this morning and saw the front page article about the RSVP office in Savannah? I have worked here 19 years and we have partnered with Andrew County Ministries for nearly 50 years and all of a sudden they are not going to be our sponsor any longer. Without a local sponsor we can no longer have the federal grant that pays our rent and salary.
